OBD1 high stall problem

I've got a buddy that is having the problem with the OBD1 high stall error, causing his car not to shift out of second. He got a "fix" from someone, and I uploaded it to the car last week. It worked fine for 4 runs, then it started with the problem again. Since I have no experience with the auto transmission, any help would be great. If anyone else has another fix for this, please email it to me and I'll upload it for him.

What "fix" did you use and who did it come from?

I have found the problem to be very intermittent and happens after long burn-outs only for me. It would be hard to know when a 'fix' really works.

I don't know what fix was used, he just gave me the file and I uploaded it for him. I know next to nothing about the auto tranny, since I have a manual. His PCM was already tuned by PCMforless, he's had me fine tuning it to eliminate cam surge and a few other things that weren't done. He didn't originally have this problem, but now he does. I didn't change anything on the trans and refused to, simply because I don't want to ruin his transmission. He's tried to find a solution and so am I, so if anyone has any ideas, please feel free to post them.

2 possible solutions have been posted. They are very similiar to each other...but neither has been proven to work 100% of the time.
If you want to send me the bin file I'll take a look at it.
