OBD-II Scanner Options?
I am looking for an OBD-II scanner to diagnose a P0300 random misfire problem. See this thread for details on the problem.

It looks like Autotap is about the best, but $400 is too much for me to spend. Oddly enough they are about 10 min from my house.
Anyone know if this guy's program is for real? http://obd-2.com/
The website is kind of hard to read, but it looks like his program might work.
I would like to spend less than $200 if possible. I would pay a shop to scan my car, but I am not confident they will tell me what is wrong with it. I also don't want to start putting time and money into replacing parts and not fixing it.
