Not getting spark in LS1

My problem with my 2000 Z began with hard starting. Sometimes it would take 4 or 5 times of cranking/stopping before my car started. Then, I was waiting at a light one day and the car died with no hope of restarting. Somebody suggested fuel, but I have good pressure. Then I checked for spark and I'm not getting any. I searched but seems like most of the no spark issues are related to LT1's. Anyway, from what I've read it seems like it could be the crankshaft sensor or cam sensor. Is there anything else? How can I check these sensors? I checked briefly for melted wires from the crankshaft sensor, but didn't see any.

Thanks for any help!

Ryan

Re: Not getting spark in LS1

BTW, I saw in an old post something about the tach not working when cranking. Well, I just checked and my tach doesn't come up while cranking the engine. Don't know if this helps, but just thought I would throw it out there.

Thanks,

Ryan

You didn't say anything about it so I'm assuming you don't have an SES??? If so that's the first thing to check. All your fuses good???
