Normal Mode, Performance Mode, Manual Mode shift settings in LT1 Edit

I ahve a 1997 trans am and I jsut want to make sure of which tables are and are not used.

Normal Mode = my car uses this table all the time

Performance Mode = Not used ever, its only for cars with the performance button

Manual Mode = Makes no sense, If I am going to manualy shift the car, or is this table used when the car is placed into 3rd instead of overdrive?

Am i correct?

I assume manual mode is when you are manually shifting or have not left it in OD.
