no wot 2-3 shift command

I wanted to get some help if I could. I am having a problem with my car where I get no 2-3 wot shift. I have to let off the gas and reapply for the shift to occur. After some checking with a mechanic and a tech 1 monitor we found the trans shifts fine every where else but the wot shift. We can manually shift the trans with the tech 1 and get all shifts on demand including the wot 2-3 shift. If we allow the car to have control we have found that the trans is NOT getting a shift command for 2-3 in wot. Any ideas what would cause this? Do I have a bad computer or is some thing wrong with my programming and if so where can I adjust if needed? I do have Tunercat and a laptop just not sure what would cause this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Electronically, in order to upshift, there are three table criteria that need to be met:

1. The engine RPM is above the "kickdown RPM threshold"

2. The vehicle speed is above the "kickdown speed threshold"

3. The vehicle is in "kickdown mode", a.k.a. the TPS threshold exceeds the "kickdown TPS threshold"

It is possible to upshift based on the normal shift table if kickdown mode is not enabled, also, but if you are at WOT, kickdown mode should be enabled (something that can also be confirmed with the tech 1).

Sounds like you've confirmed the problem is not mechanical, so it is likely the way the transmission shift tables are set up in the PCM.
