New Injectors... What's are the PCM changes needed to make them work?

Just bought some new 32# Accel injectors... upgrading from stock.

I have the Jet program, it's downloaded onto the Laptop, but I haven't even used it to read the PCM let alone program anything...

Any advice on what I need to change on the PCM to accomodate the new units? And will the PCM be able to adjust sufficiently to make it worth rolling to the track worth the trip if I can't get the PCM programmed before hand?

If they are 32# at the LT1's pressure, then no - the computer can't adjust that much.

Look for a injector flow rate constant. Stock is around 24.91 lbs/hr

lol this makes zero sense. Are you trying to say you'd tow it to the track in fear of the fueling being off, then run a WOT pull at the track?

Thanks fellas..

Where does one go to find the flow rate data for the 32# injectors? Also isn't there additional data regarding impedence or pulse width and such?

As to the question regarding towing to the track... It may not make sense because I don't have the slightest clue as to what I'm talking about here...

I am asking for info regarding the tune when changing the injectors and what specific data would be changed in the tune to accomodate the new injectors.

Essentially I was curious to know if the OLD set up for the 24# stock injectors was sufficiently close to allow the PCM to adjust to the new injectors without a tune... Since I asked this, I've learned that the WOT 'open loop' config would not consider the fuel/air mix, resulting in a heavy rich mix without a tune; meaning, at least to the best of my understanding that at WOT the pcm simply provides the setup without regard to F/A input, thus it is critical to load the proper F/I data...

What I do not know at this point is what that proper data is or even where within the tables I would input that data... so you can plainly see... it's a mess...
FYI: with regard to the towing thing... I don't tow the car to the track... she's all BUT full weight and still very much a street car and with the new set up, she'll be a mid to low 11 second car. I just don't want to screw something up, to the degree that is possible... so...

Bottom line is I am a rookies rooky, where tuning the PCM is concerned and while I own the Jet program and its loaded on the old laptop, I have yet to even read the pcm with it. At this point I have the car, the parts, the will and the wherewithall to slam the hammer and keep the pointy end up front... I just lack the knowledge to tune it properly; SO if someone knows the procedure and data to make these changes, I would really appreciate some help here.

But thanks for the effort to this point...

Guy in another forum just finished a LT1 swap and ran a stock tune with larger injectors. Ran super rich for like 20 miles and the raw gas broke down the oil and he spun bearings.

OVA1, back to post #3 I have ODB1 not OBD2, but somewhere in your setup there is a setting for the injectors that is set near 24# for stock. You need to alter that to 32#. Until then you PCM is incorrectly opening the injectors based on fuel flow for 24 pounders and you are dumping 33% to much fuel. The O2's will see this and tell the PCM. But the PCM can only correct for a 10-15% error on a good day.
