I just ordered a cable from AKM and downloaded Freescan.

I have a few questions. To make things easiest is there a web site that would explain some basics. I am just trying to run freescan right now and see if I can catch on. I might go with pcmforless for a tune or order tunercat. I am not sure. But I don't understand a lot of the numbers freescan gives me.

What are BLM's?
How much is to much Knock retard?
What factors affect Knock retard? Temp?
How much should Blm's and A/F vary from right to left?

If anyone can give me a link to a tutorial or explantion of these things that is probably what I need.
