Need some help converting .lt1 file to .bin file?

I am working on a friends car with a CC306 and don't know too much about files. I found the file on Brent's site for the professionally tuned CC306 file but it's for edit and we use tunercat. I also saw that converter but don't know how to use it so if someone could help I would appreciate it. The file is heads&cam_306.lt1 that I would like to convert so let me know. thnaks Clint

Tunercat should be able to read .lt1 files. When you open a file, you need to select LT1 FILES (*.lt1) in the file type section.

You can also go here and download the TuneConv.exe utility which will allow you to convert the file over to .bin format.

Okay but how does that converter work? Do I just type in heads&cam_306.lt1 and press enter? I tried that and it didn't work?

Rename your heads and cam file to something simple like 306hc.lt1 then try the same thing again.

I've tried to go to the link to download TuneConv.exe and it seems the file isn't there. I also attempted to open the file with TunerCat and it's looking for a def file that I don't have. I'm going to look on there site to see if I can find the needed def file to open the .lt1 file. Does anyone have the tuneconv.exe file they could email to me? Three83byu@hotmail.com

All you have to do is open it with Tunercat. It's that simple. Change the "files of type" on the file_open window to *.lt1.

you need the pcm_ee definition file that you will have to purchase from tunercats in order to work the software. If you email them, they will send you a copy to use w/ their evaluation software if you want it.

GO HERE: http://www.tunercat.com/tnr_desc/do_tc.html

Look to the left, click on supported ecms, scroll down to chevy cars, scroll to the bottom of that table, $EE, click on add to cart, supply information, receive ecm, live happy.
