m 96 T/A's check engine light came on, and when my friend went to go read it with the obd 2 reader, it would not read, it was like the plug had now power to it, the car runs fine but that stupid ligt is so annoying, what should i do?

 

Check the fuses, on my car the cig lighter fuse also powers the DLC.

 

thanks, that was the problem, turned out the crankshaft position sensor is bad.
