May have fried PCM...

I was just outside putting in a new program for my car. But before I did, i went to save the current program that was in the car and it was interrupted while downloading it. I would think that this wouldn't hurt the car as it really isn't taking anything away from it, just copying the information. But I tried to start the car after it was interrupted and nothing happens, the car will turn over but won't even think of firing. I just unplugged the battery in the car so that it would go back to factory spec. and hopefully everything will be alright. Does anyone know if it can do any harm if interrupted while saving the current program though?

Reading the pcm will not hurt it. It may cause it to "crash", if this happens you will need to pull the negative battery cable or the fuse for the pcm to reset the pcm.

No harm done during a read. It should fire right up after the battery disconnection.
