MAT sensor

I have a Supercharged 2001 5.3 Suburban, Its a Magnacharger.

They disconected the MAT sensor at the MAF and installed one in the Intake manifold.

what does the MAT input to the computer do on a MAF system, LS1 type.

I understand on the old ECM cars that it did nothing but EGR operation.

If I reconect it at the MAF it will show a cooler air temp, Will this help with more timing or more fuel at WOT, or just EGR operation
or what.

First of all I am not an expert of Magnachargers. From what I understand about the programing. Having your IAT at the manifold is the corect place for the Magnacharger. You could move it around to the intake but your programing will have to change to compensate for the difference. troy

you might also wanna check out www.ls1.com in their computer and tuning section... might get a better/faster answer over there.
