This makes NO SENSE.. Auto Tuning...
OK I have an M6 so i'm not even close to famaliar with all this A4 crap.. I just know that it take's up a lot of menu space in tunercat
Anyhow, i'm tuning for a buddy of mine and well im looking in the up/down shift points and like I went to some site with a Gear/MPH Calculator and well it's weird because if I look at the data in tunercat, on the 1>2 shift at 100% TPS it say's 33mph... So if I look at the MPH calculator that would only be like 4500rpms
WTF?? I have ALL the info in there correctly, tire size = 26" rear end ratio = 3.23 and then I have 4L60 selected... etc... so what's the deal with all that?
Also what else is good to change for the auto's? I think I read somewhere about the line pressure or something?
thanks

The easiest thing to do with shift points for A4 cars is to always use the original file as a base. If the car originally came with a 2.73 and you've switched to a 3.42 all you need to do is multiply each table by 2.73/3.42...or .798.
For the wot shift points you can do the same thing with the kickdown mph tables. What I like to do is set the mph tables a little low so that the PCM relies on the rpm threshold tables for its shiftpoints. For me it's easier to use rpm as a shiftpoint rather than mph.
As far as modifying line pressure...be careful. Only time I've ever screwed with it I just added some to the main line pressure tables in certain areas. The guy I did it for just wanted a little crisper shift at all points. After about an hour, we had it to a point he was satisfied.
