Post major problem with HPP

i bought a HPP+ today, i had began the intallation, so while that was going i was installing the CAI i purchased as well, i heard a series of beeps from inside the car asuming the programmer was complete...it said that there was a power loss and to check the 9v battery inside then it lost all power....my battery on the car was completely dead!!!!somehow this piece of garbage drained the battery......so i jumped the car hooked the programmer back up it said"programming was inturpted, will continue" then it said waiting to communicate with your vehicle" then it stops right there and the unit just shuts off after a few minutes....the check engine light flashed repeatedly and the car will not start!!!!! sounds like its getting no spark or maybe no fuel.....son of a Bi%@h....where do i go from here??????please help!!!!

With all hope, MAYBE you didn't fry your PCM. In LT1 Edit, if you loose the connection / power while programming, it MAY render your PCM as a paperweight. (I'm not sure with your HPP3, though). You could send it away to get brought back to life with programming, but I've heard that costs $$$. Anyway.....here is your last ditch effort to get it running again. Pull your PCM BAT fuse for a few minutes, reinstall and then try to start the car. Should it fire up, you have no worries, if not, well..... see above. Good luck.

On my '94, it's on the driver's side, on the side of the dash. I'm not sure if yours is under or at the same location. It' should be a red fuse, just pull it out for a few minutes - then put it back in. I've done this two times now after I used LT1 edit and lost the connection, it wouldn't start. Pulling the fuse resets the PCM and then it worked for me. Good Luck.

You should be able to call Hypertech and they will re-flash your PCM back to stock! Tell them your battery died in middle of programming. They will make it right!

I dont get it? How did you jump your car if programming was interrrupted. When that happens the car wont start cuase there is no program in the computer. When my 9volt batt when out in the middle of programming, i just replaced it and it started back from where it ended. So what happened when you jumped you car, did it start or what. Maybe your batt is still dead and the HPP wont work unless you got power, try putting a new batt in your car and see what happens.

I have more advise for this problem than get a new PCM out of Hypertec and then get a Jet Stage II chip module. I have one and it works great, I gained 23 RWHP and 22 RWTQ. I got mine for only $265.
