MAF tables

I'm a little confused on how you adjust the MAF tables.

Is it common practice to change the MAF tables on a supercharged car? For better idle quality?

I don't understand how you know how many gps it is flowing like at idle? Is it just a guess? On my tunercat files it shows frequency and airflow...you can change the airflow.

Hope I somewhat make sense..lol

obd 1 or obd2


if its one you can download datamaster at ttspowersystems.com and it will show at what air flow you are useing as idle and then you go into the maf tables in tunercat and go to that number (gps of air flow) and change it to whatever. but heres a hint do not make a drastic change with out making all the other numbers around it smooth

lets say you have for example 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10 and your running lean at 5 grams per second dont change the 5 to a 8 to add more fuel without changing the numbers around it, so it would look like this 1,2.75,4.5,6,8,7, 8 ,9 10.

gradualy work up to it, and gradualy work away from the change

Maybe i need to understand what the Frequency is used for.

Lets say I decrease the MAF table 1 by 5%. Basically it moves the airflow numbers down to a lower frequency and if I add 5% it does the opposite. So the frequency is used to lean or add more fuel?

frequency and actual air flow doesnt change right so what you have to do is change the air flow that represents a given frequency. Basically all you are doing if you decrease the graph by 5% is leaning out the mixture. This is because at .xx frequency the air flow is say 10 gps which is used for the fuel calculation and if you decrease that number to 9.5 gps the computer will then demand less fuel.. in reality the same amount of air is still getting to the motor and therefore runs slightly leaner.

Also, be careful not to set a higher value before a smaller value. Like 1 2 3 5 4 6 7... the computer will not like that!
