MAF circuit? code38

MAF circuit? code38
Just wondering what it could be? I replaced the maf to see if the code went away, but it didn't. I cleared the code and waited to see if the ses light came back on and it did. Whats next? Check the wiring? The maf is showing 99.9 x/x.
Now I might not have disconnected the battery long enough to fully clear the code. So I'm not ruling my maf out as the problem. The problem occured right after I replaced my radiator. I'm thinking I could have damaged the maf or circuit when I put it on the ground, possibley knocking it too hard.
Does anyone know what resistence values the maf should be?
this is on a '94 z28 m6
The car runs fine, but the ses light is buggin the hell out of me, and I'm sure my gas milage isn't the best it can be.
thanks
Omar

Re: MAF circuit? code38
DTC 38 = Brake switch stuck "OFF"
Nothing to do with the MAF.
Do you mean 48? Check the pink wire to the MAF for 12v with the key on. Do you have a scanner to monitor MAF readings?

Re: MAF circuit? code38
ok prob fixed. it was a 48, and it ended up being a non-connected ground wire. Some how over the years the metal inside the wire became disconnected and was not visible because of the insulation. Spliced and reconnected and now everything is fine.
