LT1 lean help
NOT OBD-II Compliant
sorry about not replying sooner, computer problems, but I found out that my 96 Z28 made in Canada was not OBD-II compliant, were not until 98, so now I am going to try datamaster and see if it will work on this car, any one else had this problem. This information came from tech support at scantool.net don't know for sure unless I try.
TunerCat blues now
Sorry been looking and testing data logger programs with no luck yet,
OK, I have tried everything that I can afford and that's free, I find that there is no where in this country that a guy can get a data logger for a 96Z28 OBD-II LT1, that will work so I can get this car tuner correctly, datamaster will not work, scantool will not log, scanxl ems will not work, vemaster will not work, have Emailed about MXscan but they will not answer, desktopdyno I am looking into but it's about $400.
I'm lean at idle, at WOT it is rich 10.7. This is what I 'm trying now. I have changed in the constants the {Power Enrich Enable MAP Threshold from 50 to 255} so not to use PE table and to see what it does on ve table, and found the A/F went to 13.1, not when I turn the PE table back on the AFR goes back to 10.7 go figure, so something is wrong in the upper VE table or MAF table. So if I start changing the upper VE table a little at a time say lower then by.40 in each cell, this should lean the car. Then turn PE table back on and see what I get, correct, the PE table is set %of change 10.9 at the temp at WOT.
If I could find some information about the MAF tables which is in Hz/gm-sec, would be a big help.
I'm using TunerCat, need to know how RPM and Hz connect or go together vs gm/sec. I don't feel the MAF is right but how do you get the right flow vs Hz. and at what rpm is the Hz at, I don't understand the connection between the three.
I just emailed another guy and he said to whiched to OBD-I, that's what he did to get his 96 tuned, but I have TunerCar for the OBD-II and don't think they will let me change it.
