LT1 edit and Hypertech can they be used together?

Ok heres my stupid question I just bought a rear end with 3:73 gears, the pcm in my T/A has been programmed for bigger injectors and blower tuning can I use the Hypertech programmer that I have to change the gear size and shift points or will this overwrite my original programming?Thank you for your input

yes and no. If you had hypertech first, you could take a flash of it and then use lt1 edit to do what you wanted. Then you would always have a copy of the hypertech tune. But to put hypertech over a lt1 edit file will probably change things you dont want changed. You can use lt1 edit to change you gear size without to much trouble. It is really easy.

Here's my problem I don't have the LT1 edit program. Someone else programmed it, and I have a hypertech that I just wanted to use to change the gear size and shift points so I guess I'm glad I asked before I before I tried it.

My suggestion, buy tunercat, flash a copy of your program and then use tunercat to change your ratio. Then sell your HPP and it will pay for your copy of tunercat. thats what I did, and tunercat is WAY better the a HPP
