This might be a complicated technical question, but hopefully on of you computer gurus can answer this for me.
I want to put an LT1 injection & heads on my SBC 355. I already know how to do it, but heres the problem. I want to put this motor in a 98 S10 w/4L60E. I was thinking about using a 95 LT1 computer & harness, but then I remembered the main problem: No optispark on the SBC. I do NOT want to use mechanical/vaccuum advance. I want to use a TPI-style computer controlled distributor, which takes a coil pulse similar to the regular LT1 coil.
Here's my question. Does the 95 LT1 computer have a no-optispark option, that would default back to batch fire and not need the high-res optispark signal? I understand the 95 computer uses the high res signal for sequential fuel injection, but batch fire is good enough for me. The 93 computer is not an option as it does not include tranny control.
I would just put a TPI computer in, but the 98 4L60E precludes using that option as I would like to use the electronic tranny.

Stand alone harness would be best here for the tranny..Available via the deisels..Bill howel and street and performance may help there..
other than that you are stuck with a TBI harness from a van or truck circa 93-94 preferablly van harness then spending the cash on the intergrator harness and ECM from street and performance..

1993 S10's used an ECM that controlled the 4L60E; 94 S series sport utilities also. You would have to get a chip burned.
Also, don't forget, if your truck is a 98, you have to leave the stock PCM in your truck to control your gauges as they are multiplex (gauges controlled by one data wire)
