Link error

Hey guys. Thats just it. I rented a Actron Scan Tool from Auto Zone. Because my scan tool wont work. And im getting the same thing. Link error. Now before i go on i must say this. I swapped about my auto tranny into a 6 speed. And i got the computer from some guy on ebay. All i want to do it scan my trouble codes. Think the computer is bad? I only want to check my trouble codes. Is there a way i can check to see it the computer is causeing this problem or something?

Re: Link error

Could be a problem with the fuse that supplies +12V power to the ALDL connector. I think its the same one that powers the cigarette lighter.

Re: Link error

thanks for the reply. Nah thats not it. I checked it out. After doing that. I got an old computer that has a virus on it and pluged it in. Worked like a champ it linked up right away. Unfortunatly it dont have trouble codes but it links. Im assumeing that my computer that i have in the car is bad. Which is bad news.
