Is there an easy way to datalog/real time reprogram tuneing on a 93 z28

1 kit that includes all software/hardware, its a little harder for me to understaind b/c my car is in 1000 peices right now so i cant apply what little info ive learned.

I have downloaded TunerPro RT what are its capablities?
would a prom emulator be the most simple way to connect.



I took a PLC circuit class in college, it shouldnt be this hard to understaind.

i did a search here before i posted. Al thats invloved is kinda expensive, ceaper solution?
What i was hopeing for was someone with experience with the 93, to jump on and tell me im makeing it harder than it needs to be.

 

there is no easier way to burn your own prom's, you must buy a prom burner, prom eraser, and the software, i tune and burn my own proms and that is what is involved

 

would a standalone like megasquirt be better, they are in the same price range.

 

I was doing my own chips and taking the thing out and flashing it was getting to be a pain because I am changing only one small thing at a time and seeing what it does. Tuner pro RT has all the capabilities that you will need it works with the ALDL cables youget from AKM cables and Im sure others, as well as the MOATES.net ostrich emulator, all in one program, and if you want you can even just leave the emulator in instead of tuning then flashing a chip when your done, It has been a life saver for me. if you decide to go with it, Keep my info and I can send you as many of my files or bin definitions that I have. Us SD guys gotta stick together.... Oh and I really like DATAMASTER from TTS power systems for the loging vs the log in tunerpro, so I use one for logging and one for tuning.

Your gonna spend $200 at least on equipment if you do the burner, cable, chips and emulator but man it is really worth it, even if you do a mailorder tune, changes are so easy to do, email flash put in car....great.

stand alone is great but expensive, I paid around 1700 for my DFI setup and theres problems doing that, you get a whole new wire harness but to get rid of the stock PCM and wireing your speedo wouldnt work anymore and the wire that turn the alternator on runs through the instrument cluster. stand alone is great but a pain to put in at first.
