Injector constant for 42#

Just wondering what the injector constant would be for 42# SVO's at LT1 fuel pressure(Tunercat) (basically, how do I alter the file, for 42#'s??

TIA

Re: Injector constant for 42#

By doing this Ion, how will it effect my current file? what other changes should I do to it? (just to get a base tune, before my dyno session.)

Anybody can answer that question, just as long as the answers correct..

Re: Injector constant for 42#

I'm assuming this value would be the same for Delphi/Lucas 42#'s?

Thanks

Re: Injector constant for 42#

Lucas 42s will be 42.29.

These are theoretical (what they should flow) values that serve as a good starting point. That's what I normally use, but you can go higher/lower depending if your car is running rich/lean and you can't adjust it through other means.

Changing the injector size will require readjusting the WOT air fuel ratio as well, but you can leave it the way it is right now and take it to the dyno, then adjust based on the output you get.

Re: Injector constant for 42#

Ford injectors (at least SVO) were rated at 39.2 PSI.
We run 43.5 PSI.

Your new injector size = old injector size * square root of (new fuel pressure / old fuel pressure)

So 42 * sqrt (43.5/39.2) = 44.24

For Lucas injectors, I just pulled the value off Racetronix's website.
