If you were starting out?

What tuning software would you guys rec. for a newbie tuner. I had a mail order tune done but I feel like it needs a little tweaking. What do you rec.

I second that, even though I use LT1 Edit. Both tuning programs basically do the same thing, and Tunercat is less expensive, and not VIN locked.

Datamaster is an awesome logging software, and I've seen the best price for it at AKMcables for $95. The first 20 logs are free though.

If you're feeling brave you could try TurnerPro R/T, Its a pain in the butt to set up but just playing with it on my laptop (havent tried hooking it up to the car yet to see what datalogging is like) it supports most of the stuff tunercat does.

Thanks guys, Where would I find them? Are they idiot proof? What I mean is do they have instructions to explain certain values and what readings thoses values need to be at?
