Hypertech cable same as LT1 edit?

Can I get an adapter to connect the hypertech cable to my laptop? And if so can I use that to load a custom program on my car. With LT1 edit or Pcmforless?
If this doesn't make sense, it's probably because it doesn't make sense
Basically I want to get a program from pcmforless and I don't want to buy a cable if I don't have to.

You have no choice. You either need to build your own or buy one.If you have the hypertech you can save some money by buying the cable without the ALDL connector and just use the hypertech one. www.akmcables.com

Hey man, long time no see. If you need any help building a cable to connect your laptop up to the OBDI, let me know, I'll come over and help you make one up for it. After all, that Computer Engineering degree needs to come in handy some time for me!
