How much timing?

I realize that to be completely accurate the vehicle should be put on a dyno. At this time a dyno tune is not possible. What is a good bet for how many degrees timing be advanced on a 94 Z28 with the following mod list: K&N FIPK, CSR E-Waterpump, Mac Headers, Magnaflow Catback

The general I always hear for LT1 is ~36 degrees.

Ive pushed my car to low 40's on the dyno, datamaster proven, but then again you cant assume your car will run the same, you need a dyno....

40's total timing maybe. Don't be confused with the timing you enter in the tunercat or Lt1 edit tables, and what datamaster reads out. datamaster reads the extras 2-3 degrees of timing that are added on top of the tunercat or LT1 Edit tune.

I would shoot for 36 degrees at 95 and 100 kpa from 3500 rpm+, like wrd1972 said, and see how that does. Datamaster will read this out as roughly 39 degrees total timing advance. 36 degrees is 2-3 more than stock at those rpms and MAP kpa.

@ 6,500 rpm limit on the motor @ 40 kpa it had 42.5 degrees in the extended spark advance vs rpm vs MAP, then from 90-100 it went to 37. Just checked the file. Datamaster peaked 42

Thats due to the better design and more efficent combustion chamber, putting more timing to a LS1 doesnt gain due to the heading being so good.
