You probably don't need a lot of computer knowledge to use it. You will need a lot of knowledge about the parameters the PCM uses to control everything and what changing them will do. If you don't know anything, look to spend at least 3-6 months worth of time to learn what you need to be able to completely tune your car. And look into Tunercat if you have a 94 car. You'll save yourself a few hundred bucks and get more than you would if you got LT1Edit.
