How do they program your ECM with a Dyno Tune?
I am thinking of getting my 95 T/A A4 dyno tuned by a new place in town. They have only been open for a couple weeks. They quoted $140 per hour for the tune. I just did a tune up with Taylor wires and TR6 plugs and my old plugs looked like they were starting to gas foul.
I think my car is really slow for the mods. 13.8@100
I have 2 questions::
1. I just have bolt ons: Factory Ram Air Hood and intake, Mac headers, Y pipe, Off road pipe, Flowmaster Cat back, Airfoil, Yank 3000, 3:42 gears, beefed tranny w/shift kit, MSD Digital 6+, NX wet kit 150 Shot. Do I really need a dyno tune or should I get a tune from PCMForless
2. How do they program your ECM with as dyno tune? How long does it usually take?
Thanks, MIKE

A dyno tune is uploaded the same way a mail order tune is, except they do this more times to fine-tune all the settings they're working on.
In your case, I would recommend getting a mail order tune as the mods you have aren't significant enough to require a dyno tune.
