I am trying to hook a laptop up to my 93 z. What kinda cables and adaptors do I need? And where do I get them? What do you guys think the best tuner software is ? What is the best diagnostic software? Also where would I get the stuff to burn new chips for my car?

I dont belvie 93's have that capability. They are not reprogramable PCM's.

 

I know the chips aren't FLASHable, but you can still hook a laptop up.. And you can burn eproms.. I just don't know what and where to get it!

 

As far as which programmer to get, the Xtronics PP2 is the only one to get. I tried one of the cheaper ones, but PP2 has been tried and true, and most of ThirdGen.org swears by it. Also, check out the ThirdGen.org forums, they are really helpful towards 93 owners also. As for the cables, you can get them from www.wotelectronics.com/cables.html, or if you want I've got an extra one of his fully assembled cable I could sell you, just name a price. The best scanning software is Datamaster, can be found at www.ttspowersystems.com , and the best tuning software is TunerCat, found at www.tunercat.com . If you need to know anything else just ask, and if you want the cable let me know.
