Helpp!!! I Need Pcm Tuning For 96 Z In Nj A.s.a.p.

I just had the cats removed and a set of O2 sims installed. The car just gets a ses light and stumbles all over the place. I reset the computer and drove it for 45 minutes with little change and the car won't hold an idle.

I have a SLP CAI, LT4 KM, Grantelli MAF, 52mm BBK TB, MSD Ignition, MSD wires and new plugs and a single 3" exhaust.

I can spend up to $400 or so. Just want to get it to run right or I will be looking for another stock y-pipe to get it back to normal.

thanks
Nick

Although I'd recommend an OBDI conversion , it sounds like your problem may be something else. Get the car scanned at a place like AutoZone (they do it for free) and see what codes you're getting first.

I was just under the car myself this time and noticed a 3rd o2 sensor in the middle of the y pipe with a square 4 prong plug.????? I am not sure if this is the problem or what

I thought there were only 2 o2 sensors on the car???

Thanks,
Nick

Oh uh... did you install the sims on the front o2s??
There's 4 sensors on your car. If you got rid of the cats, you need to install the sims on the rear 2 ones.

the rear sensor has a different plug that the front so I guess they are the wrong sensors
I ordered them from year one parts.

they sent me the kit for 2 sensors for a 96 LT1

You can get rid of the o2 sensors through programming as well. I sent you a private message...
