I looked at the log, which is extremely lengthy, and really didn't see much of anything. You have a DTC 36, which is a high resolution failure. That code would be thrown if something was wrong with the opti, opti wiring, or opti harness. It's a stored code, so I can't tell when it was thrown, but other than that, it seems the car is running fine. What is it doing exactly?

Hi Benji, When I try to start it, it starts hard, need to pump the pedal a few times and hold about half way down, before it finally starts. The service engine soon light comes on then. Normally I turn on the key, listen for the fuel pump when it clicks, then it starts right away. So even now, it seems to do everything I am used to hearing, except it starts hard. 2nd thing, after it runs, the radiator fans sound llike they are on full blast and stay like that, and 3rd thing when driving it on the highway, and I try to pass with alot of throttle, it feels like its choking. The opti was changed in Nov 2005 and I only drove maybe 1500 miles since then. Any ideas?

Did it run good after the new opti install? About the fans, when you have an SES light, the fans run continuously (no matter what temp. the car is at). Have you checked fuel pressure (to make sure that's not the cause for the hard starts). If that checks out, I'd start testing the opti, opti wiring, and harness. HTH's.

It ran good after the opti install, and the fans, well they are usually on, but not at such high speeds. Its not possible for me to check the fuel pressure as I dont have the proper tools. That and I dont have access to a proper lift to get under the car. Its low to the ground as you know. Its pretty frustrating not having these things here in Holland. I do have most tools though that I bought when I use to work on cars. I will try to do the ign test as soon as it stops raining!!! Its always raining here. I miss the USA!!
