Help with harness conversion please

Hey i have a 93 camaro with a blown 383 lt1. I want to convert the engine harness over to a 94 or 95 so i can run a maf. So it will be easier and cheaper to tune. So heres my questions, What year harness is the best to convert it to, or is there any difference in 94 and 95 harness? Also, is it even possible to convert just the engine harness over to a later year or do i have to rerun the later harness thoughout the interior of the car to the guages and stuff? I know ill have to convert the pcm over also. Thats the most important question im wondering, about the wires running from the pcm through the inside the car. Last question. I know for mustangs they make just a add on system for adding a maf sensor, do the make anything for a 93 camaro just wondering thanks?

I think most would tell you for a blown application you're better of with speed density, BUT, I have done what you're trying to accomplish. It wasnt too diificult. I used a '95 harness, but you could use a 94 also. I chose to do so to keep the speed density harness intact completely and I had a hacked up '95 harness from a collision vehicle that had all the trans wiring severed. Theres about 10 wires if I remember that you need to relocate. Check shoebox' website for model year pinout charts for the connectors under tha dash on the pass. side. That where all your work is going to take place. I still have all the paperwork somewhere from when I did it.

I swapped engine harnesses when I went from an A4 to an M6 in my 1994 z28. The 94 has two seperate plugs for the ignition module/coil. The 1995 harness has a single plug. Not a big deal, you may just need to buy a 95 coil if you use that year harness. All the other connectors are the same on the engine harness. I do not know anything about the interior harness.

Btw, the 93 did not have an electronic auto trans so if you have an auto then expect some extra plugs for that if you use a 94+ harness.

good point. i totally forgot about the trans. I swapped to a 94 trans also and ditched the 700r4, but you can just use an M6 PCM and run the converter clutch on a switch.
