Have datamaster....what info for bad map?

I'm trying to troubleshoot a crappy idle and miss and want to check my map sensor. I can look at the data for the map but how can I tell whether it's bad or not? The car has a hotcam in it.

Thanx
Joe

MAP sensor should read around 100kpa when the car is off. When idling it should be in the 30-40kpa range depending on your tune (it could be more) Shoot for these numbers using the closed throttle spark advance. Look for the MAP to go to 100 KPA again when the car is running at full throttle. If it is moving between these two poins during normal operation the MAP is probably working fine.
