Has anyone tried PCMSCAN?
Has anyone tried PCMSCAN?
This appears to be a brand new software for only $60.00 (plus interface of about $100), and I wondered if anyone else had tried it out yet.
http://store.palmerperformance.com
I have downloaded the trial version and was fairly impressed, but I would be, because all I have now is an old Auto-Xray.
My other option is www.obd-2.com and I am also wondering how they compare. Anyone with the www.obd-2.com package who would download the palmerperformance.com package and do a comparison would be greatly appreciated!

Re: Has anyone tried PCMSCAN?
Here's another software that includes 0-60 mph, 1/8th mile and 1/4 mile times and speeds as well as hp and torque along with the diagnostics stuff.
It's only 120.00 with an interface.
http://www.digimoto.com/
I downloaded the palmer software instead of updating my Autotap 1st version AT-1. It will work with the Autotap interface and looks a lot cooler for only 60.00.
Sorted out my troublecodes so I haven't used it yet.

Re: Has anyone tried PCMSCAN?
The PCMSCAN wouldn't connect with the autotap AT1 interface.
I ordered the Digimoto package which came with an Elmscan interface today.
It works fine with the PCMSCAN so I don't know about using the autotap interface with this software, at least the AT-1 version which is what I have.
My opti went out and is being replaced so I haven't had any chance to evaluate these programs yet.
The elmscan vpw interface will work with any gm obd2 and support different scan programs including ProScan.
My Autotap is only for 96-7 LT-1.
Maybe it's time to put the autotap up on ebay.
