has any one ever played with the jet dst that can help me ?

If any one has used the jet dst i could usse some help geting started out .i have it up an runing an have down loaded the pcm . i am just new to this an very unsure of what i am doing .

car is a 96 obdII with cam an header an no cats . smells really rich . sure base timing could go up .

any help would be great

The best thing to do to get you started is to get one of the mail order tuner to write you a tune for your cam swap. If it's an off the shelf grind they will get it pretty close. Then you can use JET DST and tweak it as you learn what all of the different tables do and how they work. Being OBD2 you are stuck with few options for datalogging. That's the same problem I have. There is mxscan over at monodax.com, I have that and it is very quirky on LT1's, sometimes refusing to run at all and has little to no support. I have been looking into getting an autotap setup. More money but it works, so I am told. If you hadn't already bought JET DST I would swap over to an ODB1 pcm and get tunercats. Tunercats is essentially the same thing as JET DST, JET just boought the OBD2 versions rights. With OBD1 you have freescan and datamaster and you can tune alot easier.
