GM 2 bar MAP sensor #

I just bought the MAP sensor for a 87 Grand National because i was told that it is a 2 Bar. the part # i bought is a 12569241. i got my FAST last night and when i tried to plug the harness into the MAP sensor it would not fit. the plugs are 3 prong but the guides in the MAP sensor are in different places. i looked at the factory one on my car and it is the same as the FAST.
Can anyone tell me the number i need from GM so that i can pick it up this week?
Thank you.

Not familiar with that #. # I've got for 2 bar is 16009886. If this part is no longer available from dealer, check parts houses for delco #213-183. BTW, the gm # above, should cross reference to sensor used on a '95 6.5L diesel. HTH.

ok well i ordered a 3 BAR MAP sensor, part number 12223861, the other day and it has the same problem as the last one did. The guides in the sensor do not match the guides on the FAST or the factory plug??? does anyone have a clue what is going on here? this is the number a few other people said they are using with FAST but there is no way i can. Please some one give me the proper GM part number.

The #3861 is a 2nd design sensor replacement for the #16040749. The 2nd design requires a diff connector (#15305891) than the 1st design. Did FAST accomodate the 1st design sensor in their harness? BTW, connector can be modified.

That is my GUESS, if it indeed connector does not push on. For the latter ?, yes, connector can be modded. Male/female pins should line up, double check. Alignment slot is what should be different and modifiable. Report back, after the fact.

All you have to do is cut a slot in your plug on the car that corresponds with the slot in the sensor. The stock Camaro plug will not plug into a 2 or 3 bar sensor without modding. Save yourself some time and like a member said use a dremel or the equivilent and mod your plug to fit the 2 or 3 bar sensor. Easy as that!

yup picked up the 3 BAR today and did just as you say, i cut the slots i need in the plug.
GM # 12223861 cost me $59.83 from the dealer at employee cost. List is $102.61 but no one ever sells to anyone at list so its prolly somewhere along $70 from a dealer.
