Freescan Readings - Big Vaccum Leak only Sometimes?
Freescan Readings - Big Vaccum Leak only Sometimes?
Need some real help here...
Freescan Log and XLS graphs
Pervious Discussion Thread (Optional): here
Basically, I'm getting way high MAP values when at 50% throttle or more (Its maxed out essentially). This graph is on the highway bouncing a bit above and below 80km/hr (50mph).
I really hope someone can help me diagnose this. The MAP sensor is working fine as I replaced it with a new one and the log showed the same results as with the old sensor.
What can be causing this? It seems like its a vaccum leak, I idle with the map reading 0.39-0.42 in freescan.
What would REALLY help too is if someone could post or point me to a post with a "Good" freescan log so I can at least compare and draw some conclusions based on what the normal readings are. It seems incredibly hard to find such a thing though

I use an A4. This happens between 10-50% throttle. Higher than 50% throttle and she accellerates fine . But between 10-50% going approx 80km/hr (50 Mi) and it seems only when my map is reporting the high load on the car .9 -1.0, does my car seem to stumble or have no power. Its like a dead zone in the throttle, I've replaced my TPS though so I know that is working fine.
If this is normal would you have any idea as to what might be causing this? Are there any other readings out of wack? I'm really confused.... Thanks for the reply JSK333, seems like its quite hard to get a reply on the board when it comes to freescan logs

If you can physically sense a dead spot at lower throttle, that sounds like a timing issue to me.
Most likely, it's not enough advance. Trying increasing the advance in the areas where you are getting the dead spots, by 2-3*, and see what happens. If it gets worse or doesn't change, try taking 2-3* out of the original tune, and then see.
