"error: incorrect message sent" while flashing a .bin

A friend of mine was flashing a new PCMforless .bin file to another friend's 94 Trans-Am when they received this message:

Error: incorrect message sent

Now the PCM appears to be toast. The car will not start or run, since there is no program on it at all now.

This was after they had successfully done a PCM Read also.

Anyone have any ideas?

If it happened during the middle of the programming, the PCM is corrupted. You would need to have the FLASH chips desoldered and reflashed manually with a programmer.
