Emissions ? with obd II - obd I conversion

Emissions ? with obd II - obd I conversion
Hey does anyone know if there are any problems passing emissions if you convert from obd II to obd I.
I'm about to do the conversion when I install my 383 in my 97 SS and all they do for emissions is scan the pcm for codes, they don't look under the hood or car no tailpipe snif or anything.
