dyno tune

Hi I have a couple questions....i live in Indianapolis, IN does anyone within a 4 hour drive dynotune? Who is good and reasonably priced? also does free scan do the samething as a scanmaster?......I keep hearing about tunercat "locking" up pcm's will LT1 edit lock up a pcm as easily? I never hear about lt1 edit doing it....thanks alot

Locking up PCMs is user err more than anything else, IMO using DOS with Tunercat is much more reliable than Windows, but you can use a Windows flash utility with Tunercat now also.

Scanmaster is an LED readout, Freescan is free and is software to log with, not hardware like Scanmaster.

I realize that scanmaster is hardware and is a stand alone unit, but does freescan do the same thing if you have a laptop? I almost bought a scanmaster, but if freescan does the samething I won't waste my money, i'll use my laptop.....

Yep, Freescan does the same thing WITH the power of logging.
