Does LT1 Tuning Still Exist?

I'm in a pickle. The ONLY shop within 4 hours of me that did tuning is out of business. Is there anyone out there that can do a mail-order tune?
I have the interface module for the car, as well as Tuner CAT so that I can take logs.
I'm not looking for anything crazy, but the car has always run rich, so I would like to fix that, and I am going to put shorties on it (yes I know, but I live on a dirt road, and the car is already too low without LTs), so I am looking for a nice street tune that will wake it up a bit.

Have you had it tuned previously? If not, why not run a data log to see if we can find the reason it’s running rich? Fix any obvious problem before having it tuned.

One of the few remaining LT1 tuners that I am aware of:

Moe Bailey

moehorsepower@peoplepc.com

pcmforless is still around, but there has been some negative feedback since Brian only does dyno tuning, leaving the mail order tunes to Keith. I have no personal experience with anyone I mentioned, just what I have seen on sites like this.

Good to hear positive feedback on lt1pcmtuning. I didn’t realize that is Solomon. I've sent a lot of people to the site for the excellent D-I-Y tuning writeup.

Thank you for the info, sir! I will definitely log it when it warms up here, I was trying to get leads early so that I can have it all worked out for this spring when it hits the road again.

I believe Ed Wright still offers tuning for LT1s.

Re: Does LT1 Tuning Still Exist?

For live dyno tuning, I've used Cincy Speed in Cincinnati. Before that I had a tune from PCMforLess.

Personally - I would go right to a 24xLink LS1 ECU setup:
Torque Head 24xLink

You'll get a better tune overall - but more importantly you can easily find a LS1 Tuner....

I had no idea anything like that existed!
I'm going to stay with the stock setup though, the car is 90% stock and only gets driven 3-4 months out of the year, so that's a lot of cash.
