corvette gauge swap
corvette gauge swap
I am planning to up the power of my car and would like some better looking gauges than the ones on my '99 Z
I have seen the corvette guges and I really like the look of them ad it looks like with a little trimming I could make it fit, but wht else would i need besides the cluster?
will it work with my ECU? probably not but it cant hurt to ask, since they are both LS1's
If not then how could I rig it up?
I know there re some pretty die-hard elecrtonics guys out there somewhere....
wish I had pursued eletronics more
i hope i wouldnt have to convert to a corvette ecu and harness, even though i would still consider it, but only if i found a good deal from someone parting out the stuff i need.

What year Corvette? 91 to 96 Vette dashes all communicated with a under dash CCM (central control module) for its funtions and the VATS operation without the CCM the dash won't work. 96 and up C5s also used a similar module but basically it was not referred to as a CCM any more but rather just a body module. It too communicated with the PCM and the dash for the functions to work. It would be a lot of work to make a C5 or a C4 dash work in your car, extensive rewiring would be necessary.
