Converting PCM from M6-A4

I am helping a friend with a conversion to an A4. I have LT1 edit and a PCM that is flashed for an M6. How do I change it to an A4 PCM.

Do I simply tell it it is an F-body with an A4 when it asks me to verify transmission? Is it that easy?? Its OBD1 BTW.

No you have to upload an A4 Tune, I haven't looked into this much, from when i tried simply doing what you said doesn't work, need an A4 flash and use Tuner Cat to upload it.

Problem is the car isnt stock, i am gunna need to make tuning changes.

Can I read the A4 file into the car using tuner cat, and then read it out using my LT1 edit? Will that put my vin on it and allow me to make the changes i need?
