I think you need tunercat unless you have an LT1 in that 87. You can download a trial of tunercat to see what the program is like off of their site.

I have never used LT1 edit, but you can download a free trial of tunnercat from their site. I talked to Andrew from akmcables.com about the 2 different programs and he said that for the LT1 in my 85 that I would probably be better off with tunnercat. He said that LT1 edit has a slightly more user friendly interface, but tunnercat has settings for more of the stuff you would have to change to put it in a thirgen.

The LT1 Edit guys dont put everything in their program if they feel people dont use it, but Tunercat is still adding things, like DTCs that can be blocked, and etc

I prefer Tunercat, plus its less expensive. Frankly I dont like the UI for LT1 Edit, it reminds me of VB 3 programs from 1994. LT1 Edits naming scheme seems friendlier to most though, but if you know how the car works you can use either one.
