common VATS issue, please help technologically challenged

i kno this is over done, ive decided to program out vats due to inconsistant starting, via resistors and new pellet less key,
1. can i use the chipped key after fix?
2. do both wires goin in or which one?
3. soldier and tape, i know the correct ohm rate, 687? hope radioshacks right
4.if its on again off again w/o flashing, is this the correct fix?

help, gota work in 12 hours!!

2 don't understand the question
3 solder for a permanent fix
4 security light should stay off

i meant in the second question, do i put a resistor on both wires or do i cut just one, if its just one which is it?
