I got a 94 camaro z28 and when I try to start it the security light comes on and wont start the light stays on and after it shuts off the car starts. any help is wanted thanks

 

the key is bad or the wires to the ign lock cyl broke off, this is very common, the easiest and cheapest fix is to just measure the resistance of the pellot in the key with a quality ohm meter then just make the same resistance/ resistor from radioshack and solder it to the 2 wires under the dash that normally go to the lock cylinder(they are in an orange wire covering)
