I parked my car one night and it was running fine, the next day I go to start it and it started then shut off immediately. We thought it was the fuel pump, so we popped the intake tube off and sprayed some brake cleaner in and it still wouldnt stay running. It has some aftermarket alarm and the wiring seems kinda hacked. But it ran fine for years. I bought it a week ago and now this.

It starts then dies within a second. Any clues?

 

Sounds like possibly a VATS issue. Try doing a couple searches on VATS here and you'll find more information.
