I just got my car out of the shop and now everytime I shut my car off for more then 2 hrs the car dies... What could be causing this? earlier 2 day I shut the car off for 5 min and batt was drained. The battery is good its holding charge a 14 volts.. any help would be appreciated. Thanks

 

you say that you have a draw but then you say that the battery is holding charge at 14 volts. That doesnt make sence....

You can take a volt meter and connect one side to the positive cable(unhooked from the battery) and the other side to the positive post on the batt. check to see how many amps its drawing. 0.002 is acceptable, any more than that and something is staying powered up while the car is off

 

what could be staying on though?

 

could be any thing, you can hook up the volt meter and start pulling fuses one by one to see wich one gets rid of the power draw.

 

Make sure you know how to set up your meter and leads to read amps.

 

i tried but All the fuses were holding charge ok. one of the relays didnt. how do you reccomend pin pointing the 1?. And when i do find it do I just have to replace the fuse?

 

how much draw do you have?

When you pulled that relay the amps went down to acceptable range? What is that relay for?
