Can someone verify injector serial numbers?
Can someone verify injector serial numbers?
I tried in the LT1 section and didn't get any responce. So I'd like to try in this forum ( moderators, please do not move this to the LT1 secton )
I have what are suppose to be 42lb Lucas injectors and cannot get the car to run ( with proper programming ). The car fire right up and idles perfectly fine, but as soon as I touch the throttle the car dies. using a 2-bar map sensor - 42lb injectors and a chip programmed for map+injectors.
I think that problem may be with the injectors. They are used and suppose to be Lucas 42s, but 3 have different numbers on them?
Serial numbers are
01D030B and D3181AA
Injectors are totally black ( my old 30lb injectors have a red stripe around them, these 42s have no markings. )
Can anyone tell what I have?
Could they be low Z instead of high Z or maybe smaller then 42 lbs?
Thanks John

Re: Can someone verify injector serial numbers?
01D030B is a PN for a Delphi/Lucas 42lb injector.
Check out Racetronix... I think these might be similar to what you've got.

Thank you! Any idea what size it might be? Could it be a 36lb? The person had both sets for sale, maybe they got mixed?
Sorry to revive an old thread from the dead, but I just thought the Racetronix response was funny. I found this thread while searching for info about at set of "flowed, balanced, used Lucas 42.5# injectors" (purchased last year) that is going into an upcoming project of mine. The numbers stamped on mine are 621031 and D3181AA. Pretty quickly verified that they are indeed 42.5# Lucases...even on Racetronix's site. From:
