Ok, what is it you are trying to accomplish first with the car and second what do you mean get started?

You mean as simple as where to get a cable and software or things like where do I go to change my timing tables and why you would want to change your timing tables?

Okay I'm back, 10:30 at night here in Calif. I know how to tune the older cars, but what I'm interested in is how and where do you learn to tune a computer car? How do you change the settings in the computer, after you have changed a stock engine to a stroker for example. Is this something you can learn yourself? Or did you guys go to school? Inquiring minds would like to know. Kevin

Unhappy HHHMMMMMMM.....

I just ordered LT1 edit for myself as I have a heads and cam car. I do have a mail order tune from Bryan at PCMforLess. I figured it was time for me to learn to tune myself.

Am I going to jump into this feet first? HELL NO! I am lucky in that I found someone who knows EFI fuel management systems and is willing to take their time to teach me though he runs his own shop.

I will sponge everything Sean will teach me but there are a lot of tutorials on the web for LT1/LS1 edit, which I will be reviewing.

www.carputing.com has a short tutorial that comes with the program but it does not help a whole lot with the learning curve. There is a lot to learn with EFI! Good luck!

Ken
