Arrow Anyone else Zero out the PE vs RPM table?

Looking at the calculation for PE mode: (1-((PEvsCoolant Temp#+PEvsRPM#)/100)*14.7

Since the PCM has a PE number of 16 at the typical coolant temps, and even higher at other temps, it seems that the PEvsRPM numbers are WAY too high. I know this is normal for a stock tune, but by my calculations I can zero out the PE vs RPM mode and my A/F should still be relatively safe @ 12.3:1

What are the scenarios that could cause this to go leaner, assuming no intake or exhaust leaks and a good running engine that maintains fuel BLMs around 128.

My car is bolt-on only(CAI, MAC Mids, Hooker Catback, 1.6RR's)

Thanks,
Dan

I zero'ed out pe vs temp. Use only pe vs rpm. Works better for me. Also, knock and many others are zero'ed. Runs better. I adjust pcm closed loop and wot with a dynojet wideband O2. Before that, I was guessing. (97ss 383 - D1) B.

Here is a link to where I attached some excel files that make it alot easier to see what the values in those tables are commanding. Just copy and past your tables into the excel files. Just remember that what you are commanding is not always actual. The temp tables are slightly different between the OBD1 and OBD2 cars, that's why there are 2 files. I'd attach them here if this site allowed it.

Thanks, but you have to be a member of that site to download the files.

That worked. Thanks! Took me a second to figure out your calculations, but it makes sense now that I've had a look at it.

How accurate are the results based on real world A/F measured values?

Mines all quite negative and I tune with a wideband but I have more than just bolt ons.

Yeah, I feel pretty comfortable doing this, especially once I do a log run and see where my BLM's are @WOT and just before.
