Another Thumbs Up for MadZ28.com Tuning

Just wanted to let ya'll know I got my PCM retuned by Ion. Car runs great and I would reccommend him to anyone. Does excellent work, not to mention fast and very straight forward. I had the following done:

- Performance/Power tuning. (premium octane use)
- Fan settings updated to 180* Low Speed and 190* High Speed
- No speed limiter
- 6000 RPM Rev limiter
- Knock retard desentizing
- Disabled EGR and Skip Shift
- Calibrated for 265/35/18 tires

I can't wait to add gears and a cam now!

I'll second the recommendation. I got the e-mail version. Went in correctly with no hick-ups at all. Car has never ran better.
Mods:
LT-4 Hot cam
2500 stall
6500 RPM limiter adjustment
remove speed limiter

I'll recommend Ion's work to anyone.

Thanks Ion

NovaTodd,

I was considering the hot cam for a winter project. Are you satisfied with it? What other modifications have you done to the valvetrain? Thanks in advance.

96LT16SPD,
The only mods I made to the valve train are the LT-4 springs and retainers. These are required with the cam as the stockers go into coil bind right at max lift.
With the custom program from MadZ28, I absolutely love the results. It passed a California smog test, is very driveable - if I didn't have a company truck it would be driven daily.
Just beware that this cam will have a slight lope. With a manual it's no big deal - auto and 2500 stall is acceptable (personal exeperience). I'm used to the old style small blocks and huge cams, so I happen to like to way it sounds and the fact it still has some low end.
Hope this helps
Todd
